To help protect yourself from unexpected overdrafts, you can link your checking account to another account, a line of credit, or a credit card to cover any overages. Fort Bragg Federal Credit Union also offers two additional types of overdraft coverage: Standard Overdraft Privilege and Extended Overdraft Privilege. Standard Overdraft Privilege applies to checks and automatic bill payments, while Extended Overdraft Privilege also covers ATM and everyday debit card transactions. It’s important to opt in to Extended Overdraft Privilege so eligible transactions can be covered. Please note that fees apply to both services. These discretionary programs are designed to help prevent returned checks, avoiding the inconvenience and higher costs that can result from insufficient funds. For more information, visit our Asset and Account Protections page.
